Features of transportation of various cargoes

  • We are very careful with clients, who are in a serious life situation. Cargo with human remains (casket with body, urn with ashes) is serviced on a priority basis at all stages of handling and documenting.

    The cargo is placed in an insulated refrigerated chamber with observance of special temperature conditions.

    The cargo is released after the consignee passes customs and health control procedures.

    Caskets with bodies (remains) and urns with ashes pass customs clearance procedures by submitting of a special application. Cargo of this category is not charged with customs duties, levies or taxes.

    Presence of a single certificate of body embalming, its packing for transporting (including sealing) and absence of foreign inclusions are permitted.

1) for urns with ashes:

  • death certificate issued by the authorized institution of the shipping country, or medical death certificate, or copies of these documents;
  • cremation certificate.

2) For caskets with remains:

  • death certificate issued by the authorized institution of the shipping country, or medical death certificate, or copies of these documents;
  • certificate of cause of death and/or absence of infectious diseases;
  • certificate of embalming of the deceased’s body, issued by the morgue, medical examiner’s office or other embalming organization;
  • report (certificate) in any form of the specialized organization performing ritual services on sealing zinc caskets, with indication that there are no foreign inclusions, and with attachment of a list of the items and valuables of the deceased if they are sent with the body (remains) of the deceased;
  • transportation permit certificate, issued by the sanitary-epidemiological agency (division of the Federal Oversight Service for Consumer Rights and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor)

The accompanying documents must be originals and attached to the air waybill. If the accompanying person has the accompanying document originals, the relevant entry must be made in the air waybill in the column “Handling Information”; in this case, copies of the documents must be attached to the air waybill.

According to the air cargo contract of carriage, the shipper is liable for clarifying and observing the requirements of the countries of destination and cargo tracking.
